Hive Founder (One Time)
Bee at the forefront of establishing colonies of honey bees at the Lazy Z Ranch, while supporting regenerative pollinator agriculture!
Lord willing and the creek don’t rise, for your generosity, you will receive a Lazy Z Bee Team hat, and EVERY YEAR for 10 years:
HALF Hive Funded = ONE 1-pound jars of honey annually (10 jars total)
WHOLE Hive Funded = TWO 1-pound jars of honey annually (20 jars total)
Fund a WHOLE hive and you will be invited to name the hive and (if the timing works out) paint the hive!
Your generosity helps cover the following expenses:
Hardware for one bee hive, including bottom board, brood chamber, honey super, 20 frames, inner cover, and lid.
Procurement of one established family of bees, including an egg-laying queen bee.
Supplemental feeding of sugar syrup and/or pollen, as needed.
High quality exterior paint to protect the hives from wild Central Oregon weather.
Pest control materials.
Please Note: Honey production is a natural process contingent on our bee and plant friends, and is vulnerable to unpredictable changes in weather. You are committing to help establish and sustain honeybee colonies, not purchasing honey, and all future honey allocations are subject to unforeseeable delay and/or cancellation. In the event of such a cancelation, no refunds will be available. Successful honey harvests at the ranch have already occurred in 2021 and 2022. Know that all of the plants, animals, and people at the Lazy Z Ranch will be doing everything within our ability to ensure you are enjoying Central Oregon honey into the next decade!
